Drug sniffing dog detects a parcel containing suspected drug inside a forwarding company

A K-9 drug sniffing dog detected a parcel suspected to be containing illegal drugs at a forwarding company’s branch in barangay Poblacion 2 in Tagbilaran City Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021, according to a report released by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol on Monday, Aug. 23, 2021.

PDEA-Bohol said the random inspection, which was a routine and done in coordination with the forwarding company, happened at 3:15 p.m., on Saturday.

Moreover, during the inspection, the dog detected that one of the parcels might contain dangerous drugs.

In the presence of witnesses, the parcel, suspected to be containing shabu, was opened.

Upon opening of the parcel, a pack containing around 50 grams of suspected shabu was found.

Authorities say that the suspected shabu has an estimated value of P340,000. The suspected drug was concealed inside a blue belt bag.

Authorities are now investigating the sender and consignee, in relation to the alleged drug found in a parcel.
