An independent survey names Tubigon Mayor William Jao as one of the top town mayors in Central Visayas, according to report released on Aug. 25, 2021.
The report adds that the survey was conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc (RPMD) from August 1 to 10, 2021, who was asked to rate the respective mayors regarding overall job performance for the year 2020.
Jao landed in the second place among the top 5 town mayors in Central Visayas, with 66% rating, reports bare.
Mayor Christina Garcia-Frasco of Liloan, Cebu with 70 percentage points job performance rating is the number 1 performing town mayor in Central Visayas.
In the 3rd place is Mayor Alex Binghay of Balamban, Cebu with 58% percentage rating while Mayor Richard Quezon of Siquijor, Siquijor is at the 4th place with 57 percent rating. At 5th place is Mayor Mayor Marianne Gustilo of Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental with 55 percentage rating.
The ratings and rankings of the town mayors are dependent on their job performances. The expectations and duties of the mayors are extensive. The mayors are the one’s tasked in addressing and responding to the effects of the pandemic. Those at the top 5 should be recognized and commended, Dr. Paul Martinez, executive director of RPMD said.
The survey conducted by RPMD is a nationwide independent, non-commissioned poll involving 10,000 respondents.
