Bohol presents 3 projects for validation for the Galing Pook awards

Three (3) projects of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) are presented for validation in the Galing Pook awards, according to reports from the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office released on Aug. 24, 2021.

The same report reveals that a validation process was conducted on Aug. 24, 2021 for the 3 Bohol projects for the Galing Pook Awards.

The 3 projects entered for validation by the PGBh are: TaRSIER 117 of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Giant Clams Stock Enhancement of the Bohol Environmental Management Office and the Culture and Arts for Healing and Recovery project of the Bohol Arts and Cultural Heritage Council and Center for Culture and Arts Development.

The report says that the entry of the 3 projects into the Galing Pook Awards is a huge achievement for the province considering  that from 206 projects nationwide considered for the awards, only 52 projects are shortlisted for validation, which include the 3 projects of the PGBh.

Pook Awards recognizes the innovative practices of local government units (LGU). The projects awarded provide innovative solutions to problems, reports reveal.

Meanwhile, Gov. Arthur Yap met the new provincial director of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) as the latter paid him a courtesy visit.

The courtesy visit took place at the Capitol on Aug. 23, 2021, according to the PRIMER.

The governor was briefed by new TESDA provincial director Winefredo Salas on the projects and plans of TESDA such as establishment of training and assessment centers here in Bohol.
