Tagb opens 1st drive thru vaccination site

The Tagbilaran City government opened on Aug. 28, 2021, the first drive thru vaccination site at the City Hall grounds, according to reports.

The reports say the drive thru vaccination site primarily serves tricycle drivers, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and residents who do not have access to the different vaccination sites.

City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc said the goal of the drive thru vaccination site is to make the vaccination program more accessible to residents of the city.

Tagbilaran mayor John Geesnell Yap said vaccination is crucial in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) especially the dreaded Delta variant.

According to reports, not less than 150 individuals got inoculated against Covid last Aug. 28, 2021.

Aside from the drive thru vaccination site, Tagbilaran also launched the mobile vaccination bus, which brought vaccines to senior citizens and persons with disability (PWD).
