DONATING BLOOD SAVES LIVES. teamINABANGA led by Mayor Roygie Jumamoy (photo 1) thru its Inabanga Department of Public Health (photo 2) headed by Dr. Edar Rospan Ajo and Nurse Ma. Rolinda J. Melecio successfully holds the Blood Donation Program (photo 3). This was held on September 2, 2021 at the Inabanga Gym. Hundreds of blood donors (photo 4) comprising of local residents from the town’s 50 barangays, academe, barangay officials, uniformed personnel, religious sector and municipal employees heeded the call for blood donation. Photos 5, 6, 7 show the taking of vital signs and actual blood extraction activities aligned with the observance of the minimum public health standards. Bags of donated blood are shown in photo 8. Mayor Roygie in her message emphasized the importance of sharing blood in this pandemic and expressed her gratitude to the Provincial Government of Bohol led by Governor Art Yap who allocates rice packs to every blood donor, Bohol Provincial Health Office Blood Program Coordinator Milagros Israel, doctors, nurses and medical technologists from the Governor Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital headed by Dr. John Jane Batirzal and Dr. Von Andrew Magdadaro, Bohol’s Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Health.
