Bohol logs 1 new Delta variant case

Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) spokesman Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez announced that 1 new Delta variant case has been detected in Carman town.

Moreover, 2 new Beta variant cases have also been detected. One case is from Bilar and another case is from Dagohoy, Lopez said.

The BIATF spokesman revealed the information during the virtual presser on Sept. 7, 2021.

The Philippine Genome Center (PGC) released the latest report on Sept. 3, 2021, Lopez bared. 

He added that 4 cases of P3 variant were also detected in Bohol.

Lopez revealed 1 P3 variant positive patient from Panglao, 2 patients from Dagohoy, and 1 P3 variant patient from Maribojoc.

Meanwhile, Lopez said all those who caught the Covid variants are fully recovered.

In a related development, the Municipal Health Officer of Carmen, Dr. Amella Sumatra said that according to reports, the patient who contracted the virus has not come  home to the said town in four months.

Sumatra said the person who contracted the Delta variant has been in the National Capital Region since May of this year.

It was reported that a 23-year-old male who resides in barangay Bicao was reportedly in the NCR as he was applying for a job overseas.
