Law enforcers led by elements of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized around P1 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two drug suspects after a buy-bust operation conducted in barangay Dampas early Saturday morning, Sept. 11, 2021, reports say.
Authorities identified the drug suspects as Cyril Jon R. Pamaong, 25, unemployed, and Charesma Peñaranda, 21, a store employee.
They were arrested after allegedly selling a sachet of suspected shabu to law enforcers who were disguised as buyers, reports say.
The suspects were arrested by elements of the PDEA and the Bohol police’s Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) at around 12:15 a. m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, in Purok 3, barangay Dampas.
Seized from the couple after the operation were 23 packs of suspected shabu weighing around 150 grams with an estimated value of P1,020,000, buy-bust money, and other paraphernalia.
Reports add that cases for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 will be filed against the suspects.
