Source says DENR Sec. Cimatu slated to arrive in Bohol today

Environment Sec. Roy Cimatu

Environment Sec. Roy Cimatu is set to arrive in Bohol today from Iloilo City, a source told The Bohol Tribune on Sept. 15, 2021.

However, the source said the reason for Cimatu’s visit is still uncertain.

He is expected to arrive here via the Bohol Panglao International Airport aboard a private aircraft.

Cimatu was supposed to visit Bohol in July 2020 with Secs. Bernadette Puyat and Eduardo Año, but decided to postpone his trip in the last minute.

Cimatu last visited Bohol in 2018 where he inspected various areas in Tagbilaran and in Panglao Island. He conducted an ocular inspection of the establishments along Alona Beach and was accompanied by several local officials including former Provincial Administrator Alfonso Damalerio and former Bohol police provincial director Col. Angelito Geñorga
