A report from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) says that the office was able to detect a magnitude 3.7 earthquake in Bohol on Monday evening, Sept. 13, 2021.

The Philvolcs bared that the epicenter of the said earthquake was pinpointed at 13 kilometers, east of Loay town and it happened at around 7:34 Monday evening.

The tremor was initially pegged at magnitude 3.4 but Phivolcs later changed it to magnitude 3.7.

The Phivolcs said the quake is pegged at Intensity III, and was felt in the towns of Loay, Lila, and Valencia.

The earthquake was reportedly slightly felt at Intensity II in the towns of Garcia Hernandez, Jagna, Duero, Guindulman, Loboc and Bilar.

Moreover, the earthquake was hardly felt at Intensity I in Corella town.Reports reveal that the said earthquake was tectonic in origin. It means the tremor was caused by the movement of a nearby active fault.
