Vice Governor Rene Lopez Relampagos, the Presiding Officer of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) leads the province’s legislative body in the revisit and review of Its Internal Rules and Policies (IRP).
The IRP review was held at the Bellevue Resort on Sept. 10 and 11, 2021. The said review aims to further clarify the rules and policies that the members of the SP need to adhere to. It is also aimed to further improve the policies and proceedings of the august body, making it adaptable to the call of the times.
The members of the SP, including the SP secretary, Dr. Bonifacio Quirog, meticulously went over both the current IRP as well as its proposed new version.
Providing assistance throughout the process were the members of the SP secretariat.
Relampagos, in a statement, believes that the said process is necessary for making sure that the SP can perform its responsibility and deliver the best service to the Boholanos.
“Our Internal Rules and Policies is more than just a rule book. It guides us to ensure that members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan are able to uphold the integrity and sanctity of our offices. Revisiting it allows us to reacquaint ourselves with what we need to do to deliver our best to the Boholano people within the Session Hall,” Relampagos said.
