ENHANCING LOCAL AGRI SECTOR. teamINABANGA under the leadership of Mayor Roygie Jumamoy together with Sangguniang Bayan Member Jono Jumamoy (photo 1) and the municipal officials (photo 2) is shown holding a coordination meeting with beneficiary farmers (photo 3 & 4) of Liloan Sur, Inabanga for the proposed construction of ₱24 million Small Water Impounding Project (SWIP). The meeting, held on Sept. 15, 2021, which was facilitated by Municipal Agriculturist Genaro Logroño discussed the necessary preparation of the project. The project is funded by the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) under the Department of Agriculture (DA) and was previously awarded to a Manila-based contractor who was unable to finish the project. This time it will be teamINABANGA which will lead the project and its the construction of structures relative to the project. The SWIP was conceptualized by teamINABANGA in 2015 and endorsed by the Liloan Farmers Association is a water supply system to further sustain the growing agricultural needs of the barangay and its neighbouring farmlands. It is projected to irrigate 60-80 hectares that will boost the agricultural output of the municipality. (Inabanga Communications and News Service / ICoNS)
