PDEA, police seize P68K worth of suspected shabu

A drug suspect was caught with suspected shabu worth P68,000 following a buy-bust operation conducted by a composite team from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol and the police on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 21, 2021, according to a report released on Sept. 23, 2021.

PDEA-Bohol identified the suspect as a certain Salvador Balatero Sayson, alias Badong Sebeca, 27, unemployed, of barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

Moreover, seized from the arrested suspect were 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 10 grams.

The suspect will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the PDEA-Bohol reported that it continued efforts to inspect cargo at the Tagbilaran pier.

The PDEA together with its K9 unit, conducted a random inspection of cargo of a vessel from Cebu City on Sept. 19, 2021.

No dangerous drugs were found during the said inspection, the PDEA-Bohol reported.

The inspection is part of the Agency’s intensified campaign to interdict or prohibit drug couriers passing through the seaports of Bohol.
