Gov. Arthur Yap revealed that the local political coalition Padayon Bol-anon is throwing its support to the mayoralty bid of Tagbilaran First Lady Jane Yap.
Yap made the revelation during the virtual press con on Sept. 24, 2021.
He said that after a long-drawn consultation, Padayon Bol-anon decided to support Yap.
Yap has already declared her intent to run for mayor with City Councilor Adam Jala as her running mate.
“Yes sir. I would like to confirm that we [Padayon Bol-anon] are throwing our support to. Ma’am Jane Yap,” the governor bares.
Meanwhile, the governor said that the bets under the Partido Demokrariko ng Pilipinas (PDP)- Lakas ng Bayan (Laban) in the province will get their certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) from the party’s Cusi-wing.
He said that even if the said party has 2 factions, at the local level, the party remains united.
In Bohol, the governor heads the party’s Cusi-wing and Dr. Doloreich Dumaluan leads the Pimentel/Pacquiao wing.
Yap said that even the party has 2 factions, it will field common candidates in the coming elections.
