Guv hands out budget for water projects to several brgys.

Gov. Arthur Yap distributed financial aid to several barangays for water projects, according to a report from the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office.

The distribution of financial aid was held at the Capitol on Sept. 21, 2021, the same report says.

The report adds that 4 barangays from Calape and 5 barangays in Tagbilaran City received financial aid for waterworks projects from the governor.

The governor has been prioritizing water projects especially during this pandemic and to ensure water security for future generations.

He also emphasized that water is important in food security and health.

According to the report, the barangay captains who received the aid said that the assistance can help improve the quality of life of their respective constituents.

Meanwhile, Yap also turned over Candijay town’s prize for bagging  the award for being one of the top 10 towns in the province in Solid Waste Management, which was received by Candijay vice mayor Jesusa Mapute.
