The Philippine Councilors’ League (PCL), Bohol chapter conducted a medical mission in Talibon town, according to the league president and Board Member Jescelo Adiong.

In a telephone interview on Sept. 25, 2021, Adiong told the Bohol Tribune the medical mission is the activity conducted by the league to celebrate the PCL week.

He said that the medical mission was held in barangay Burgos in Talibon town on Sept. 22, 2021.

The said medical mission was part of the HEART Caravan of the Provincial Government of Bohol.

The medical mission is the second of its kind backed by the PCL. Back in June 2021, the PCL, under the leadership of Adiong initiated a similar activity in Catigbian town.

The PCL donated medicines that were distributed to barangay people of Burgos, Adiong told The Bohol Tribune.

If plans don’t miscarry, the PCL intends to conduct a similar medical mission in Mabini town next month.

Aside from the medical mission, the HEART Caravan also featured free legal assistance, distribution of vegetable and fruit seeds, and food stuff were also given to barangay residents.

Adiong said that among those who were in the caravan were some members of the PCL in Talibon and other towns in the second district, Bohol Police Provincial Office director Col. Osmundo Salibo, and Board Member Franz Garcia-Devenosa among others.
