SP proposes new diagnostic rates for BPDACC

The formerly named Bohol Medical Care Institute (BMCI) which is now called the Bohol Provincial Diagnostic and Ambulatory Care Center (BPDACC) will soon be operating under newly approved tariffs following the approval on the first reading by the members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol (SP).

In a report, the proposed ordinance fixes the rates of BPDACC for all its services.

In its regular session held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, Chairperson of the Committee on Ways and Means, Board Member Aldner Damalerio, moved for the approval on first reading, Proposed Ordinance No. 013-2021 that establishes the rates and services of the BPDACC for Radiology and Imaging Services, and Clinical Laboratory Services.

The BPDACC serves the Boholano population through its Radiology and Imaging Services, Clinical Laboratory Services, and Hemodialysis Services.

On July 28, 2020, the SP approved Resolution No. 2020-536 confirming the assignment and transfer of rights to the operation of the old BMCI facilities and services to the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh).

BPDACC has been issued a Certificate of Compliance from the Department of Health (DOH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on July 5, 2021, for having complied with the administrative orders on the Basic Standards on Radiation Protection.

Moreover, the Certificate of Compliance is also the basis for the issuance of the License to Operate for the Radiology and Imaging Services of the said health facility.

At present, the Hemodialysis and Clinical Laboratory Services of BPDACC is also in the process of acquiring its License to Operate.

Meanwhile, the joint Committees on Ways and Means and Health and Public Sanitation are still in the process of finalizing the proposed ordinance.
