Gov. Arthur Yap and the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) will study the proposal to accept the vaccination card in lieu of a negative real time-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result, when a traveler enters the province, according to a report released by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office on Sept. 28, 2021.
Lawyer JR Mantaring of Cebu Pacific Air suggested to the governor and the BIATF, to look into the possibility of accepting the vaccination card in lieu of a negative RT-PCR test result.
The airline official made the suggestion during a virtual meeting participated in by members of the BIATF, municipal health officers, the medical sector and some members of the private sector.
The virtual meeting was held on Sept. 27, 2021, the same report says.
The governor said that the suggestion by an airline official should be carefully studied and assessed by the BIATF members, mayors and authorities before it can be implemented.
During the same meeting, the need for temporary treatment and monitoring facility (TTMF) in the towns was also discussed.
An assessment tool is being crafted in order to determine the admission and treatment process in TTMFs, the report says.
Moreover, it was agreed during the meeting that there is a need to standardize the design of the TTMFs in the towns.
A checklist will be used to determine if a TTMF is compliant with the standards set by the Department of Health.
Once a TTMF has been found to be compliant, the BIATF shall issue a certification that the facility is fit to accept Coronavirus disease (Covid) patients, the report indicates.
