Balilihan celebrates 193 years of progress & development

(Part 2)

The town of Balilihan has just celebrated its 193rd birthday and her people were and are still in a joyous mood despite the limitations of the celebration due to the restrictions brought about by the pandemic.

In the span of 193 years, Bohol has seen how the town developed into an important hub of commerce, trade, education, agriculture, industry and friendship in the interior corridor of Bohol. Balilihan exudes plenty of potential to become an agro-industrial powerhouse of the province.

No doubt that with the leadership of Mayor Pureza Chatto, the support of the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and of course, the unwavering commitment of Cong. Ed Chatto, the town can continue to look forward to a shining future etched with a promise to ensure the people’s improved quality of life. Banking on the industry and hardworking culture of it’s the Balilinhon, the town will transform from a rural area to a vibrant and lively municipality.

It is a fact that as the town celebrated its foundation anniversary, Balilihan is embracing the winds of development based on improved peace and order. The town’s founders sought to carve a place dedicated to the common good—193 years ago! While SUMAD is celebrated every Sept. 29, it should not stop its people to continue celebrating the milestones and upcoming achievements each day.

Now, Balilihan is already reaping the rewards of the labor of its leaders and people. Balilihan is primed to bloom towards progress and development. Balilihan is, indeed, “soaring to greater heights”!
