Lila mayor Arturo Piollo II filed his certificate of candidacy (CoC) for reelection as mayor before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the said town on Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, reports say.
He arrived at the Comelec-Lila office with the members of his slate.
Moreover, incumbent Vice Mayor Regina Salazar also filed for her candidacy as vice mayor. She is also gunning for re-election as Piollo’s running mate.
Other members of the slate include: Telesforo Balagosa, Gomersindo Balandra, Melchor Lapac, and Godofredo Piollo, Alex Paigan, Meghan Japson, Cely Galorio and mediaman Reynaldo Tutas.
The tandem of Mayor Piollo and Vice Mayor Salazar is running under the banner of the Nacionalista Party (NP), the report adds.
Mayor Piollo said he is seeking to get reelected to continue his plans and programs for Lila.
Furthermore, Piollo has been known to continue with his plans with the town’s bamboo industry, if he gets reelected.
