Panglao town government launches PIVaC

The town government of Panglao has launched the Panglao Intesified Vaccination Campaign (PIVaC), which seeks to boost the town’s aspiration to reach herd immunity.

The campaign seeks to ensure that most of the tourism workers are inoculated, which is one of the ways to tourism and economic recovery.

Herd immunity can be achieved by inoculating 70% of the population,
according to reports.

According to Montero-Caindec, the town’s goal is to inoculate 100% of the town’s population especially among the town and barangay governments.

Local government unit (LGU) workers who are fully vaccinated have received badges as they deliver basic services to the town residents.
