4 bets file CoC for Guv

Four aspirants have filed their respective certificate of candidacy within the filing period spanning from Oct. 1 to 8, 2021, based on the records of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

The list is based on the initial record as of last night, Oct. 9, 2021.

Running for governor is reelectionist Gov. Arthur Yap. He is running under the Partido Demokratiko ng Pilipinas- Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban). His contenders are current 2nd dist. representative Erico Aristotle Aumentado of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), and independent bets Concepcion Flores and Hercules Castillo.

In the race for vice governor, reelectionist Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos is going up against Senior Board Member Dionisio Victor Balite of NPC.

Moreover, there are 4 aspirants for the congressional seat in the 1st district led by reelectionist Edgar Chatto of the National Unity Party (NUP). He is facing Fabio Ontong Jr. of the NPC, and independent candidate Marybelle dela Serna.

In the 2nd district, the fight for the congressional seat will be among People’s Reform Party’s (PRP) Maria Vanessa Aumentado, wife of Cong. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, Jovanna Jumamoy of NUP, Gerardo Garcia of Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), independent aspirant Marcos Auza and Ramil Melencion of Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats.

Over at the 3rd district the aspirants for the 3rd congressional district seat are incumbent Cong. Kristine Alexie Tutor of the Nacionalista Party (NP), Valencia mayor Maria Katrina Lim of PDP-Laban and Roger Cadorniga of Labor Party of the Philippines (LPP).

Furthermore, running for 1st district board members are: reelectionists Ricky Masamayor and Aldner Damalerio. They are joined by former Senior Board Member Benjie Arcamo. They are pitted against incumbent Lucille Lagunay of NPC, Margaux Herrera-Caya of PRP, Delia Melda Tirol – Magno of NPC, Joseph Sevilla of Partido Para sa Demokratikong Reporma and Francisco Sordilla Jr. who is an independent candidate.

The aspirants for the seats in the Sangguniang Panlalawigan for the 2nd district are Agapito Avenido of NUP, reelectionist Vierna Mae Maglasang of PDP-Laban and Frans Garcia-Devenosa of NUP, Tomas Abapo Jr. of NPC, Vincent Entero also of NPC, Jiselle Rae Villamor of Aksyon Demokratiko, Jesseril Intina of PDP-Laban and independent candidate Santos Abella.

Meanwhile, the candidates for 3rd district board members are Elpidio Bonita of PDP-Laban, Tita Baja of NP, Pablio Sumampong of NP, Greg Jala of NP, Emmanuel Jude Bernido of PDP-Laban, Nathaniel Binlod of PDP-Laban, Eliezer Baguio of PDP-Laban, Stefan Lee Cagulada of NPC and Abdon dela Peña of LPP.
