Bohol vies for PCCI’s Most Business Friendly Province plum

The Province of Bohol is one of the finalists in the search for Most Business Friendly Provinces in the country, according to the report by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office.

Bohol landed a finalist spot in the search initiated by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) together with the provinces of Aklan, Bataan, Bulacan, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Davao Del Norte, La Union, Laguna, Negros Occidental, Palawan, Pangasinan, Rizal and Tarlac.

In a virtual conference at the Reception Hall of the Provincial Capitol with selected members of the Management Executive Board (MEB), Gov. Arthur Yap responded to the questions of the members of the board of judges.

Yap presented to the panel of judges the Provincial Government’s initiative towards fiscal reforms, computerization of data and records of government transactions, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to businesses, improvement of tax collections, empowerment of agricultural industry especially at this time of pandemic, aggressive approach in the resurgence of the local tourism industry.

The Provincial Government is closely working with telecommunications companies in laying down and widening internet connections, including building common cell sites in public places, especially at school sites, and other areas.

The governor has indicated to the PCCI that the entire force of the Provincial Government is working doubly hard in ensuring that Bohol will overcome the challenges of the pandemic.
