Montero-Caindec files CoC for Panglao mayor

Incumbent Panglao councilor Amira Alia Montero has filed her certificate of candidacy (CoC) on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, reports say.

She was accompanied by her husband, Miguel Caindec in the filing of the CoC before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Panglao, the same report adds.

She is running for mayor as her mother, incumbent Panglao mayor Leonila Montero, is no longer eligible to run as mayor in the next elections.

Moreover, incumbent vice mayor Briccio Velasco also filed his CoC. He is the running mate of Montero-Caindec.

Mayor Montero is running as councilor of the town, the reports bare.

Other candidates under the slate of Montero-Caindec are Dennis Hora, John Christian Bryan Velasco, Eduard Mejos, Niño Vincent “Chad” Arcaya, Jose Arbitrario, Ariel Gabuya, and Agerio “Jie Jie” Guioguio.
