Tagbilaran Vehicle Inspection Center (TaVIC) offers subsidized rates to public utility vehicle (PUV) operators. This means tricycles, multicabs and jeepneys may only pay P300 instead of the usual P600.
According to TaVIC’s top officer John Allison Uy, the new inspection rate for PUVs is not a promo but in compliance with the suggestion coming from the Department of Transportation and the Land Transportation Office.
But wait, there’s more, PUVs get a special lane only for them if they come for inspection on Saturdays.
This way they can get inspected right away and they can go back to plying their routes immediately.
