City gov’t adds Paymaya to its roster of online payment channels

Tagbilaran City Government adds the e-wallet called Paymaya to its roster of online payment channels, according to a report by the City Media Bureau.
Aside from the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) and GCash, the City Treasurer’s Office is now accepting payments through PayMaya. e-wallet platform.
City Treasurer Mary Christine Bitoy proudly shared this new information with the public via the City Media Bureau.
Bitoy said that payments for water service, business and real property taxes among others are now accepted through various online channels.
Furthermore, the City Accounting Office also launched the Tracking Assistant Gateway or TAG. It is a software application that enables all the offices in the City Hall to track the progress of their claims online.
There is no need to go to the City Accounting Office and discuss the status of the claims since all the details are already posted in the system.
The Information Technology (IT) department made the program installed TAG system in all of the offices in the City Hall.
The system is assigned to a focal person who is responsible in managing the application.
The TAG installed in a certain office cannot be accessed by other offices. It is exclusive and password-protected.
Moreover, the General Services Office (GSO) also followed suit and launched the e-procurement system.
It is a 24/7 system that automates the preparation of the Purchase Request (PRs) for goods. It allows easy tracking of the progress of PRs. All PRs will be filed and created online by the designated supply officer of the different departments and offices.
The offices through their respective supply officers can follow-up the status of their PRs online. The PRs will then be reviewed, printed and processed by the CGSO.
Then in June 2020, the IT Department of the City Government was also tasked to come up with a contactless platform for the application of business permits. The IT established a link in the website where the e-permitting platform was placed. The clients need not to go to the City Hall to apply or renew their business permits. The First step is to click the link of the e-BPLO in the official website of the City Government of Tagbilaran and fill out the online form.
The Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) will then evaluate, validate, and assess the application. Notifications will then be sent through email or text messaging whether or not the application is approved.
Tagb opens anti-Covid vaccination to all Boholanos
The City Government through the City Health Office (CHO) has extended its vaccination efforts to all Boholanos. This means all Boholanos can get vaccinated in the city.
The vaccine rollout for all Boholanos was held on Oct. 14 and 15, 2021 at City Central Elementary School and Tagbilaran City College.
Moreover, this coming Oct. 18, 21, and 22, the vaccine rollout will be at the Bohol Quality Mall, Island City Mall, and Alturas Mall in order to give Boholanos easier access to the vaccines. Any Boholano aged 18 years old and older are eligible to get inoculated, the City Media Bureau report says. They just need to bring a valid ID.
The city targets to achieve herd immunity, especially that Tagbilaran is the commercial center of the Province of Bohol.
To date, Tagbilaran City already vaccinated 80% of its target population.
The City Government has indeed prioritized and intensified its Coronavirus disease (Covid) vaccination efforts. It has 5 vaccination sites which operate 7 days a week.
