In an interview with the local media last week, Oct. 7, 2021, international master mariner/ship captain and Dauis mayoralty candidate Roman “Amoi” Bullen, revealed his platform of government anchored on “Kabag-ohan, Kausaban, Kalamboan” in Dauis.
According to him, if given the chance to serve the town, he will: give utmost priorities to potable and affordable drinking water available 24/7; give livelihood for the poor and the displaced ones; invite more investors as Dauis is very ideal for business and investments; develop tourism projects; eradicate graft and corruption; and maintain peace and order.
Bullen said: “Dapat adunay mainom apan barato nga tubig sa tanang barangay kanunay; kinahanglan nga daghang trabaho aron masanta ang kapobrehon; mokugi ta ug kuhit ug imbitar sa daghang mga magpapatigayon o negosyante; pakadak-an nako ang pag-ugmad pa sa turismo; subayon kon kinsa ning mga kurakot nga anaa sa pangatungdanan; dapat limpyo nga gobyerno; [dapat] transparent [ang] mga transaction; ug walay mga pangilad ug pangilkil sa kaban sa atong pangagamhanan.”
Bullen also said: “Ang Dauis nataliwad-an sa duha ka mga asenso kaayo nga lungsod – ang Tagbilaran ug Panglao, so dili kalikayan nga mahimo tang pugaran ug tagu-anan sa mga kriminal ug tigpayuhot sa mga ginadili nga drugas. Kining mga kriminal ug adik sa Dauis, they can run, but they can’t hide,” he added.
His “Team Kabag-ohan” is composed of Col. Marcelo Opada Pintac as his running mate, and the rest of the slate include retired police officer and former Criminal Investigation and DetectIon Group (CIDG) chief Ricky Morallo, former councilor Jobert Bomediano, Rosalie Acuña, Virgie Perfecio, Arbee Sumobay, Raul Opeña, and events director/promoter Gabriel Fullido Cimafranca.
