Pasiuna 

Si Mananámbal James A. Graham, usa ka Protestante nga magwawali nga gikan sa Amerika, nahidangat dinhi sa Tagbilaran, Bohol sa tuig 1907. Nagbuhat siya og tambalanan ginamit ang mga pamaagi sa mga Amerikano. 

Naglisod siya sa pagdani ug pagpatuo sa mga Bol-anon nga ang mga pamaagi sa mga Amerikano labaw kay sa lumad nga pamaagi sa pagpanambal. Gawas sa pamaagi sa pagdisdis sa mga sakit, ang mga Bol-anon labi pang mosalig sa lumad nga pamaagi sa pagpanambal kon itándi sa Inamerkanó. 

Ato kining masabot tungod kay ang mga Bol-anon aduna nay daghan kaayo nga mga lugpong sa mga sakit ug aduna silay mga tambal niining mga sakit. Hinuon lupig ang atong mga lumad nga tambalan sa pagbag-as (purify) sa mga tambal nga gikan sa mga tanom ug mga sagbot. 

Atong padayonon ang pagtála sa mga lugpong sa mga sakit ug mga apan. 

Mga Lugpong 

1. backache (pain in one’s back) – pamáol sa likod, sakit sa likod 

2. badbreath (halitosis) – baho og ginhawa, bahóg ginhawa 

3. balbuties (speech defect characterized by stuttering) – kūka 

4. bald1 (at front of head and unbecoming) – ungás 

5. bald2 (at front of head) – dangás 

6. bald3 (no hair) – upáw, palót, panót, kalbó (Sp.), arós, pagóng 

7. bald4 (only on pate) – úldog 

8. bald5 (sparse hair) – agol. Syn. aról

10. balneology (the treating diseases by bathing in mineral springs) – budaboranon 

11. balsam (ointment or unguent) – balsamo (Sp.), banyós, hapás 

12. bandage1 (material used as bandage) – gingás, küdkod 

13. bandage2 (to bind the wound) – puyót, bindáhi (Sp.). Syn. hinlas 

14. barren (no offspring) – apúli, lánday, lángday, baóg 

15. bed rest (stay in bed, as those who are recuperating) – lúlaw. Syn. ligad 

16. bedsore (sore caused by prolonged lying in bed) – pilas sa kátri

76. bulla (bleb; large blister) – lutó, páslot 

77. bunion (swelling of big toe)- kinakumalagkoán 

78. burn (burn the skin) – pásò 

79. bursa (sac) – lámto 

80. bursitis (inflammation of a bursa) – bursitis (Eng.) 

81. butterfingers (one who drop things easily)- buslót og kamót 

82. buxom (health and vigor) – súpang. lison, tígson
