The Municipality of Jagna led by Mayor Joseph Rañola (inset) has started a bangus production project. The project aims to augment the income of members of the Naatang Fisherfolk Association, at the same time improving food security for the people of the said town. Mayor Rañola’s administration provided a P200,000 fund to finance the acquisition of a fish cage, supply of 5,000 pieces of  bangus fry, and feed supply. The fishermen-members of the association recently harvested 955 kilos of bangus with a value of P114,000. Most of the income from the harvest went to the fishermen-members. Contributed photo
