Report: NBI arrests suspected “repa” reseller

An alleged “repa” reseller, suspected to be involved in a scam that duped thousands of Boholanos to part with their money, was arrested following an entrapment operation in Tagbilaran City on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, a report says , today, Oct. 18, 2021.

The report bares that the entrapment operation was orchestrated by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bohol.

The NBI revealed that the suspect “Lorna” (whose real name was withheld pending the filing of charges) was allegedly still selling “repa” slots to buyers on Saturday afternoon along J. A. Clarin street.

Moreover, there are “repa” buyers who have filed complaints against Lorna before the NBI.

The report adds that the suspect is now under the custody of the NBI.

She will be facing charges for violation of the Securities and Exchange Code and other related laws, according to the report.

Allegedly the “repa” scam siphoned millions of pesos from unsuspecting victims in Bohol recently.
