With the recent arrival here of 212,940 doses of Pfizer vaccines on Oct. 16, 2021, the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) is targeting to inoculate 25,000 Boholanos per day according to the spokesperson of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF).

Speaking during the recent meeting of the BIATF Strategic Communications Cluster on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, BIATF spokesperson Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez said that with the arrival of the Pfizer vaccines, the PGBh can already ramp up its vaccination rollout, the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in a report released on Oct. 21, 2021 says.

Lopez said Bohol has over 50 vaccination sites, on top of the mobile vaccine teams which are deployed to bring the vaccines to the remote areas in the province.

“We need to vaccinate fast and reach to as many as we can”,  Gov. Arthur Yap said during the said meeting on Monday attended by Bohol mayors and some heads of national government agencies.

Overall, 220,627 Boholanos are already deemed fully vaccinated while 201,622 Boholanos got are partially vaccinated or have received only the 1st dose of the vaccine, the PIA report bares.

With the arrival of 35,490 vials of Pfizer vaccine, equivalent to 212,940 doses, from the Department of Health (DoH),  Bohol has received a total of 740,932 vaccine doses since March 2021, the same report says.

According to BIATF’s data, Bohol has received the following vaccine brands from the national government and they are: Sinovac, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZenica, Moderna, Sputnik V, Pfizer, and Sinopharm.
