Gov. Arthur Yap bared that majority of Bohol mayors and medical sector representatives have voted to remove the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) requirement prior to entry into Bohol.
The governor bared the development in an exclusive interview over Open Forum, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy, Atty. Greg Austral and Dave Albarado
on Oct. 22, 2021, which is today.
The governor said that all people who wish to enter Bohol need only to present a QR code from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). The code is the indication that a person has been fully vaccinated.
The visitors still need to obtain an S-Pass and local government unit acceptance, the governor added.
An executive order shall be issued by the governor shortly so that the new directive can be implemented.
The move is an offshoot of the placement of Bohol under alert level 2 by the national Inter Agency Task Force (IATF).
If a visitor is unable to present the QR code indicating if he/she is fully vaccinated the next option is to present a negative PCR test result taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Bohol, the governor revealed in the interview.
