Bohol has been placed by the national government together with some provinces and several cities under alert level 2 for the period from October 20 to 31, 2021, according to reports released on Oct. 20, 2021.
Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2021, that the alert level system will be used after the national government saw a decline in the number of new daily cases at the same time seeing an increase in vaccination rates.
Currently, Bohol is under alert level 4, but this will be moved to alert level 2, the report adds.
Moreover, placed under alert level no.4, which is the strictest among the different levels are Negros Oriental and Davao Occidental.
The following localities are placed under alert level 3: Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Siquijor, Davao City, Davao del Norte.
Aside from Bohol, other areas placed under alert level 2 are: Batangas, Quezon province, Lucena City, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, Cebu province, Davao de Oro, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental.
The strictest level is alert level 4 where establishments will be allowed to operate in limited capacity except for cinemas, kids’ amusement parks and playgrounds, and live voice or wind-pipe performances, theaters, karaoke bars, and contact sports venues.
Reports say that in Bohol, which is under alert level 2, more business establishments may open to accept customers such as karaoke bars, theaters, contact sports gyms, and kiddie playrooms and playgrounds.
Meanwhile, in places under alert level 1, all types of businesses will be permitted to operate at full capacity.
