The town government of Dauis is earmarking an initial budget of P1 million for the concreting of the road at the boundary of barangay Bingag in Dauis and barangay Tangnan in Panglao town.
Liga ng mga Barangay-Dauis president Josever Sumaylo told The Bohol Tribune right before deadline last night, Oct. 23, 2021, about the road project after he attended a meeting to discuss the matter.
The public has been using the road for quite some time and it remains unpaved, according to Sumaylo.
The road portion within barangay Bingag is yet to be developed because the land is privately owned.
The owners of the lot already donated the road portion to the Dauis local government unit (LGU) so that it can be developed and provide better road experience to the folks in the said town, Sumaylo said in an interview.
The funds for the road development is already included in the municipal budget of Dauis for 2021.
Sumaylo said the road concreting of the donated portion of the road at the boundary of Bingag and Tangnan will start by December 2021.
The project is already posted in the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS), Sumaylo bared.
Moreover, he said that there is a plan to have a mobile vaccination rollout in the purok level. This way, Dauis is ramping up efforts to reach herd immunity. He will disclose the date when the mobile vaccination rollout will take place.
Reports from the Sumaylo camp bared that vaccines made by Pfizer-BioNTech are available to those who want to get vaccinated. Those interested need only to go to the Dauis Gymnasium so they can get vaccinated using the American vaccine brand.
Sources from Sumaylo’s camp also say that there will be a free legal clinic for Dauisanons after the commemmoration of All Saints Day and All Souls Day. The free legal clinic will be conducted by lawyer Nickie Bolos-Delgado.
Josever Sumaylo is running for Dauis mayor and his running mate is his wife and incumbent mayor Marietta Sumaylo.
Moreover, their slate for councilor consists of Vieto Racho, Violy Dano, Rhea Marie Pon, Ian Joel Bomediano, Luciano Bongalos, Nickie Marie Bolos, Rollie Guillena, and Raldo Rollorazo.
