Police arrest woman for illegally entering Bohol from Cebu

Police arrested a woman who allegedly entered the province from Cebu province without going through the correct process, according to reports released on Oct. 20, 2021.

Police identified the suspect as Ivy Planque, 27, a resident of Eastern Cabul-an, Buenavista town.

Allegedly, she entered the province via the coastal area of the said barangay on board a motorized banca from Cordova town in Cebu province, the reports say.

The suspect allegedly did not coordinate with the barangay and local government unit (LGU) officials regarding her arrival.

She is now placed under a mandatory 14-day quarantine in a facility in Buenavista.

Upon her release she is going to face charges of violation of Republic Act 11332 and other related laws.

People entering Bohol are required to get an S-Pass from the Department of Science and Technology portal, which entails the approval of the receiving LGU  and a negative real-time polymerase chain reaction test result taken 72 hours prior to the arrival.
