BBM supporters launch movement via caravan

Supporters of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., conducted a launch caravan that started in Panglao and  converged in Ubay yesterday, Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, according to reports.

According to Basta Bol-anon Marcos (BBM) movement chairman Cylwin Bomediano, at least 1,000 participants joined the caravan that launched the BBM movement, where the members are united in their pursuit to support the candidacy of the former senator.

Bomediano revealed some information about the movement in a radio interview over Newsmakers Ug Uban Pa program on Oct. 27, 2021, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.

Bomediano said that the BBM movement is a local non-partisan volunteer group based in Bohol.

The caravan is meant to publicly announce the formation of the movement and is not meant to campaign for Marcos, Bomediano clarified in a text message to The Bohol Tribune yesterday, Oct. 30, 2021.

The campaign period for national positions will start on Feb. 8, 2022.

Marcos is running for president under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP).

The caravan departed front of the Bohol Panglao International Airport yesterday morning and arrived in Ubay town early yesterday afternoon, reports add.

There was a short program after the caravan arrived in Ubay, Bomediano added.

The Marcos supporters was split into 3 sub-groups. The 1st sub-group was led by BBM vice chairman Angie Vidas Hoffman. The 2nd sub-group was headed by BBM Sec. Gen. Christian Francis Barrete, Bomediano bared.

Meanwhile, the 3rd sub-group was led by Bomediano himself, he said.
