Senator and presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao bared his main agenda once he gets elected as president of the Philippines— to run after crooks in government.

He made the revelation during a media briefing on Oct. 30, 2021 at Henann Resort and Convention Center in Panglao town.

Pacquiao was supposed to arrive in Bohol on Oct. 29, 2021 but decided to come to the province a day after.

Pacquiao had an engagement at the Panglao town plaza where he gave a short address.

Reports say that the senator gave away some aid to about a thousand beneficiaries.

After the meeting with the media, Pacquiao had other engagements in Tagbilaran City, where he reportedly met with key officials and personalities in the province.

HIS PLATFORM

Pacquiao cut right into the chase and laid out his plan once he gets elected as president of the country.

The boxer-turned-politician plans to create a “special court” that will try corrupt government officials and workers.

He wants the trials to last a few months as he believes the pieces of evidence to pin down the suspected corrupt officials are readily available for the prosecution.

However, he wants the due process to prevail and allow those being prosecuted be given their day in court.

Pacquiao said he wants to get rid of corruption as this the malaise that has hindered the growth and development of the country.

Moreover, during the press conference, Pacquiao said once he is elected president, he would work to make the country a top food exporter by improving the state of the agriculture center.

GIVING AID

Pacquiao defended his aid giving to the needy by saying he has been doing charitable works for years now. He vows continue helping people more now that he has lofty aspirations to become the highest political leader of the country.

The senator has made a habit to provide assistance mostly coming from his own pocket.

He has even initiated a housing project where houses were given free to beneficiaries, according to the senator’s camp.
