Sumaylo leads aid giving to Dauis’ senior citizens

Liga ng mga Barangay-Dauis president and mayoralty aspirant Josever Sumaylo engages with the senior citizens of Dauis in an activity on Oct. 28, 2021, where he distributed his personal cash aid to all who attended the affair.
He said the cash aid was for the senior citizens in celebration of Senior Citizens’ Month.
The Office of the Senior Citizens’ Affairs (OSCA) in Dauis is headed by Agapito Sumaoy.
Sumaylo said that he was invited as a speaker in the activity celebrating the Senior Citizen’s Month in Dauis town.
“Usa kita sa gidapit nga mamumolong alang sa pagdasig sa atong a mga lolo ug lola,” Sumaylo said in an interview.
Meanwhile, Sumaylo said that several lot owners in sitio Manaol, barangay Tabalong have donated a portion of their respective lots to the government, which in turn will be used for a concrete road in the said area.
With the donated lots, the local government unit may now start the preparations for the concreting of the future road, Sumaylo said
He bared that he hopes the concreting of the road will happen next year.
Sumaylo is aspiring to be the next mayor of Dauis. His running mate is his wife, Marietta, who is the incumbent mayor.
Several Dauisanons claim that Josever Sumaylo is a very approachable person. 
“Dili gyud ka maikog niya, sir, kay dali ra gyud maduol. Yano kaayo ug pamatasan unya dili pod tihik. Dili pod hambugero bisan ug na-ahan na sila,” one Dauisanon said referring to Josever.
The members of Sumaylo’s slate are Vieto Racho, Violy Dano, Rhea Marie Pon, Ian Joel Bomediano, Luciano Bongalos, Nickie Marie Bolos, Rollie Guillena, and Raldo Rollorazo. They are running for seats as members of the Sangguniang Bayan of Dauis.
