Coronavirus disease (Covid)- related deaths in Bohol decreased in October 2021 by 51.4% compared to the previous month, according to the report by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in a report released on Nov. 2, 2021.
There were 177 deaths in September, and the figure is now down to 91 deaths in October 2021, the report said.
The report added that observers ascribe the decreasing number of Covid-related deaths to the increasing number of vaccinated individuals and observance of health and safety protocol.
Back in September 2021, Bohol had an average of six deaths, the PIA report bares.
Based on the data released by the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) as of Sept. 25, 2021, the vaccination rate is at 13.06%.
In October, the rate is pegged at 17.23%, a separate report from the BIATF said.
