BPPO chief tells cops not to be greedy

Bohol police director Col. Osmundo Salibo

Bohol police director Col. Osmundo Salibo has told the police officers based in the province to refrain from greed and exemplify good examples to the public.

Salibo aired the reminder to the police officers during the Talakayan sa Isyung Pulis (TSIP) media forum held in Carmen town on Nov. 11, 2021.

Salibo said there are some cops who taint the image of the police organization. This lead the public to brand the police organization negatively.

As this developed, Salibo reminded the police officers to remain non-partisan as the police should avoid any form of political activities.

“They [police officers] must not get involve in partisan politics. We don’t meddle with the political affairs of anybody or in any locality for that matter,” Salibo said.

He urged the police officers just use the ballot to express their political beliefs.

After a long hiatus, the TSIP has been revived by the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO).

The TSIP is an opportunity for the media to ask questions to the leadership of the police organization here.
