A Boholana has passed the recent Physician Licensure Examinations (PLE), according to a report reaching The Bohol Tribune.
Dr. Reina Juno Uy Sumatra is among the 1,677 examinees who passed the PLE held on
Oct. 30 and 31, Nov. 1 and 2, 2021 in Manila.
The results were released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Nov. 11, 2021.
Ian Gabriel Alparaque Juyad University of the Philippines-Manila gained the first place among the PLE takers, the PRC reports.
Sumatra obtained her medical degree at the University of the Philippines-Manila.

The 24-year-old was born in Carmen, Bohol. She finished her high school studies at the Philippine Science High School – Central Visayas campus in Argao, Cebu. She graduated from elementary level at the Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran.
She was the class valedictorian during her time at the Holy Spirit School of Tagbilaran and in Philippine Science High School.
Dr. Sumatra is also an award-winning dancer. She ended as champion in 2015 THROWBACK Inter-school competition. She bagged the Best in Aesthetics award in the 2016 World of Dance competition.
She also qualified in the finals of 2018 Crissa Dance Synergy International Dance Competition. She also qualified in the finals of the 2019 Medgroove Medrhythmia Inter-Medical School dance tilt. She wound up as first runner-up and won the best in choreography award in that competition.
