Dauis college students get aid from Sen. Go

Liga ng mga Barangay-Dauis chapter president Josever Sumaylo revealed on Nov. 11, 2021, via a video message on Facebook, that the local government unit (LGU) of Dauis was able to secure aid for the said town’s college students.

Sumaylo said that 30 college students from each barangay of the town will get aid from Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.

Each student will get a financial aid of P2,000 from the senator, Sumaylo bares.

He said that the distribution of aid will be on a first-come-first-served-basis.

In order to get eligible for the aid, the students need to apply at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Sumaylo said an interested college student needs to produce 3 photocopies of the student’s validated school ID, certificate of indigency from the student’s barangay and proof of college enrollment showing that the student is enrolled in the current semester.

The documents shall be submitted to the Dauis mayor’s office and the mayor’s office will then forward the documents to the DSWD, Sumaylo explains.

It will be the DSWD which will determine whether or not a college student applicant is eligible to get the aid, Sumaylo bares.
