Gov. Arthur Yap led the groundbreaking ceremony on Nov. 9, 2021, of the soon to rise provincial fish feed pellet facility that will be situated in Ubay town, according to a report of the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office.

Yap expressed elation following the realization of the first step of the said project in Ubay

The project is expected to improve the income of fish growers at the same time make fish prices more affordable, the report bares.

The provincial government allocated funds for the said project with the aim to help fish growers lower their fish production costs.

During the same event, 54 rebel returnees received aid from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) under the Aid to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS), the report mentions.

Yap worked to provide assistance coming from proper agencies for the former insurgents who wish to return into the fold of the government.

Other personalities who attended the said event were Ubay Sangguniang Bayan (SB) member Joan Abad, Gali Atup, Nelson Uy, San Miguel mayor Virgilio Mendez, former Board Member Jaja Jumamoy, retired Col. Oscar Boyles, Carmelita Tecson of the Office of Provincial Social Welfare and Development and Larry Pamugas of the Office of Provincial Agriculturist.
