PGBh to wait for IATF guidelines on face shield wearing

Gov. Arthur Yap bared that the provincial government of Bohol (PGBh) can’t categorically say when the face shield requirement will be lifted.

This was the reaction of the governor to the question on the possibility of lifting the need to wear face shields expressed during the weekly virtual media engagement on Nov. 12, 2021.

As this developed, Provincial Administrator Kathryn Pioquinto said that local government units (LGU) are advised to wait for the guidelines for the wearing of face shields.

It can be remembered that President Duterte has indicated that face shield wearing should no longer be required except in certain places such as hospitals and similar medical facilities.

The issue on the lifting of the requirement to wear face shields came about as acting Cebu City mayor Michael Rama issued a directive lifting the use of the said device except in certain areas.

Manila mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso also ordered that face shield wearing is no longer necessary except inside medical facilities, reports say.
