Guv inaugurates dela Paz, Cortes waterworks system

Gov. Arthur Yap inaugurated the dela Paz waterworks system located at barangay dela Paz, Cortes town on Nov. 13, 2021, according to information from the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office released on Nov. 15, 2021.

Dela Paz barangay captain Allan Pondoc expressed his thanks to the provincial government for its assistance in the realization of the waterworks project.

The barangay used the P100,000 grant coming from the provincial government for the said waterworks project, the report says.

The report adds that residents of purok 5, barangay dela Paz have access to potable water.

Pondoc quipped that the waterworks system will not only benefit his own barangay but neighboring villages as well as soon as the reservoir will be completely built.

Yap said he will be releasing P300,000 in funds to fund the said reservoir as a way to help the local government unit of Cortes.

Meanwhile, the governor brought the HEART Caravan to barangays Cambaquiz and Talisay in Cabilao Island, Loon, on Nov. 13, 2021.

Residents coming from the two said barangays were given access to free services and aid coming from various government agencies both local and national.
