Padayon Bol-anon to conduct consultation to determine the presidential candidate to support

Vice Gov. Rene Lopez Relampagos

Padayon Bol-anon is set to conduct consultations among its political leaders to determine the presidential candidate the political coalition will support.

This was the revelation of Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos on Nov. 17, 2021, over Open Forum radio program hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.

The consultation comes after the deadline of the substitution of candidates has passed. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) closed the period of substitution on Nov. 15, 2021.

Relampagos said that prior to the move of Sen. Christopher Go to run as president, there has been a bandwagon in the various towns of Bohol expressing support for Go as vice president.

The vice governor said that it is unclear whether or not the support for Go as vice president will be carried over now that the senator is running for president.

Padayon Bol-anon is not a political party but a coalition of political parties which includes the Partido Demokratiko ng Pilipinas-Lakas ng Bayan and the National Unity Party.

The direction of the coalition currently is to consolidate its forces and provide support to candidates under its slate in the local level, Relampagos added.
