The proposed budget of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) for fiscal year 2022 was approved on second reading by Vice 

Governor Rene Relampagos and the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, after it went through a series of consultative budget hearings and thorough deliberations in the committee level in the previous days.
 
The proposed annual budget of the PGBh for the year 2022 has a total amount of P4,278,523,605. The budget also allotted funding for the operation of local economic enterprise called Cafe Caloy amounting to P12,650,000.

The proposed budget will finance priority programs, projects and activities of the PGBh that will promote the general welfare of Boholanos, especially the weak and vulnerable members of society.

The proposed budget will further prioritize programs that will ensure the health and safety of our people, revive the local economy, and provide better and accessible social services.
 
The National Tax Allocation (NTA), formerly known as the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA), with an estimated amount of P3.302 billion, based on information from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) is the largest external source of funds for the proposed budget.

The budget allocation for the General Public Sector accounts 29% of the total annual budget. This allocation covers, among others, costs of operations of offices performing General Administration and Governance, Legislative Services, Planning, Human Resource Management and Development, and Legal Services.
 
The Social Services Sector accounts for 40% of the annual budget. Included in this sector are health and hospital care, social welfare and development, environmental management, mineral resource regulation, and detention/rehabilitation. It can be noted that allocation for this particular sector include those programs and initiatives aimed to manage the pandemic response in the province, creation of new health facilities and services, as well as the expanded social welfare services.
 
Meanwhile, the proposed budgetary allocation for Economic Services Sector account for 26% of the total proposed budget. It covers the appropriation for Agriculture and Veterinary Services, Tourism Development, Investment Promotion, Economic Enterprise Management, Culture and Arts, Engineering and Motorpool Services, and Cooperative Development.The allocation for Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) amounts to P210,995,005.75.
