Catigbian’s most wanted person falls into police’s hands

A rape suspect identified by Catigbian police as the town’s most wanted person fell into the hands of the authorities on Dec. 6, 2021, according to a police report released on Dec. 8, 2021.

Police identified the suspect as a certain Jeffrey Maano, 34, and a resident of barangay Triple Union, Catigbian town.

Police said the suspect was arrested following an operation conducted on Monday in barangay Poblacion Sur, Carmen town by joint elements from Catigbian and Carmen police stations.

The police served an arrest warrant to the suspect that was issued by Judge Leo Moises Lison of the Regional Trial Court branch 7 based in Tagbilaran City.

The bail for the provisional liberty of the suspect was set at P120,000.

Moreover, the suspect was brought to the Catigbian police station for booking procedures following his arrest.
