Tagbilaran police arrests robbery suspect

Tagbilaran police arrested a robbery suspect with the help of bystanders on Dec. 6, 2021, according to a report released on Dec. 9, 2021.

The police identified the suspect Hermogenes Hitgano, 44, a resident of barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

Police said that the suspect allegedly forced his way into an autoshop located in barangay Cogon.

The suspect entered the shop’s premises via a hole on the wall that supposedly to be used for an air conditioning unit, the report bares.

The owner of the shop, identified as Bryan Besa and his wife, were the ones who discovered the alleged crime after they went to the shop after having dinner.

The shop’s owners saw the suspect trying to escape which prompted Besa to shout for help, the police mentioned in their report.

Bystanders then helped stop the suspect from completely escaping the area allowing the police to complete the arrest, the report mentions.

The suspect was taken into custody as he will be facing charges shortly.
