UB successfully celebrates foundation anniversary, charter day

The University of Bohol (UB) was successful in its staging of various activities to mark the celebration of the University’s 75th year Foundation Anniversary and 51st Charter Day celebrations.
The University lined up several activities spanning two days, Dec. 10 and 11, 2021, which was capped with a live band concert that was shared via social media platforms.

Despite the limitation posed by the pandemic, the University managed to conduct several activities most of them virtually in order to comply with health and safety protocol.
One of the highlights of the 2-day celebration is the launching of the UB Pride and Joy Facebook page. The launch highlighted the contributions of the retired employees and officials of UB.

In his message to the retirees, Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol III, UB’s President, thanked the retired employees for spending their productive years and contribution to the continued development of the University.
Tirol added that the retired employees were instrumental in raising the bar of excellence, which made UB, a prestigious institution.

The UB President quipped that he and university officials cherish and reminisce the laudable performance of the retired employees, as the University continues with its noble service of educating people from different parts of the country.

Meanwhile, another worthwhile highlight during the celebration was the launch of the commemorative stamp celebrating the University’s milestone by the hilippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost).
UB, the first university in Bohol, is also the first higher educational institution in the province, to be given the prestige to have its own commemorative stamp.

The commemorative stamp is the PHLPost’s way of  recognizing  the academic excellence and quality education provided by UB to its students.
