Bien Unido releases update on typhoon Odette’s impact

The local government unit (LGU) of Bien Unido released an update on the impact of typhoon Odette on Monday, Dec. 20, 2021.

The LGU said it was only able to send updates via Facebook due to difficulty in getting internet connection and link up with outside of the said town.

It reported that there are several people who lost their lives as a result of the onslaught of the massive typhoon.

The report lists the following persons to have died due to the impact of the typhoon. The fatalities are Nico Guardo, 49; Nicell Torreon, 26; John William Fernando, 4; CrispinaLabuca, 85 and all are from barangay Tuboran.

The person from barangay Poblacion who was reported to have died is identified as Grascioso Quimson, 75.

An unidentified child from barangay Nueva Estrella also died as a result of the typhoon. 

Moreover, at barangay Hingotanan East a certain Jesusa Paca, 91 has died.

There are also some missing persons reported. The reported missing persons are Jaime Cubol, 55; Delmar Malagsic, 30; and Rolyn Orot, 26.

The LGU also has distributed relief goods especially among the island barangays, which are the priority, the report says.
